Fund Raising and Raising Awareness

Raising funds to support the work and Mission of LGD Alliance - Europe is one of our core activities. We are an totally voluntary-based organization and all the funds we gather will be used entirely for the benefit of the patient community: for the promotion of scientific or clinical research, or for other activities we consider to help the patient community.  No salaries and only a minimal amount of administrative costs will be covered with the funds of our Alliance.

We do not offer financial support for individual patients. Those affected with Gorham’s disease, may contact ALEG, Assosiación Lucha Contra la Enfermedad Gorham, to inquire about and seek financial support to help with the costs of individual care.

Beyond just raising funds, we aim to raise awareness of lymphangiomatosis and Gorham’s disease with all our activities. These orphan diseases are poorly recognized by clinicians, researchers and other professionals, and even less known among the general public. By making them more public, we hope to enhance the amount of research activity dedicated to these diseases, to win more substantial funding and - most importantly - to improve the diagnosis and care of the patients.
